Recent report of 55 HF cows detected having TB at Anand is a reason for worry about safety of Milk being supplied by Indian Dairy Industry. While in Europe such cows are culled, there is no information about what the Indian authorities propose to do in this and such cases.
It may not be out of place to record that Indian breeds of cows have proved to have excellent disease resistance. Given adequate feed and clean stall conditions Indian Breeds of cows do not suffer from commonly reported problems of Mastitis,TB etc.
